A Brazilian removes all or most of the hair front to back, and how it feels comes down to technique and a therapist who is not rushing. You are in a private room the whole time, you are in control of the pace, and most people find it far less of an ordeal than they had built it up to be. Come as you are; there is no need to trim or prepare beforehand.
First visit and maintenance are priced differently, and here is why. Your first Brazilian takes longer because the hair is at full length and mixed growth stages, so it is $80. Once you are on a regular four to six week cycle the appointment is shorter and the regrowth is finer, so maintenance Brazilians are $60. We would rather tell you that up front than surprise you at the counter.

Freshly waxed skin needs a little care, and Cairns humidity and sweat make that more important, not less. For the first 24 hours skip the gym, the pool and hot showers, and keep the area cool and clean so heat and sweat do not irritate open follicles.
From day two or three, exfoliate gently a few times a week and moisturise. This is the single best thing you can do to keep ingrown hairs down, which are more common when heat and sweat trap softening regrowth against the skin. Loose, breathable clothing after a bikini or Brazilian helps too.

There is a quick sting as the strip comes away, and then it is done. Most people find it far more manageable than they expect, especially with an experienced therapist working quickly. It is most noticeable the first time and on sensitive areas, and it genuinely gets easier the more regularly you wax, because the regrowth comes back finer.
About the length of a grain of rice, roughly five millimetres, or two to three weeks of growth. Long enough for the wax to grip, but not so long that it is uncomfortable. If it is very long we can trim it down on the day, and if it is still stubble it is too short to wax, so leave it a few more days.
Every four to six weeks for most areas. Sticking to a regular cycle keeps each appointment quicker and more comfortable, weakens the regrowth over time, and means you are never caught out with an event coming up. We can help you settle on a rhythm that suits your hair.
Not on the same area, and this one matters. Retinol, glycolic and other exfoliating actives thin and loosen the surface of the skin, so waxing over them can lift skin and cause a graze. Stop using actives on the area you are waxing for about five to seven days beforehand, and tell us what you use when you book so we can keep your skin safe. The same applies to some acne medications, so mention those too.
Ingrowns happen when regrowth gets trapped under the skin, and Cairns heat and sweat make that more likely. Exfoliate gently two or three times a week from a couple of days after your wax, moisturise, and wear loose, breathable clothing after a bikini or Brazilian. Keeping to a regular waxing cycle helps most of all, because finer regrowth is far less likely to curl back in.
