Rejuvia Beauty & Aesthetics (“we”, “us”, “our”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices available to you. It applies to this website and to the services we provide at our Stratford studio.
1.Who we are
Rejuvia Beauty & Aesthetics
Stratford, Cairns, Queensland, Australia
For any privacy question, correction or complaint, contact us at info@rejuviabeauty.com.au.
2.What we collect
Information you give us directly. When you book an appointment, complete an enquiry or contact form, subscribe to our mailing list, or speak with us in the studio, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and appointment preferences.
Health information. Where a service requires it, we collect relevant health information through a consultation form, including medical conditions, medications, allergies, skin history and pregnancy status. We collect this only so we can deliver your appointment safely, and only with your consent. Health information is sensitive information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and we treat it accordingly.
Payment information. Card details provided to secure a booking are collected and stored by our booking system, Timely, through its payment provider. We do not store your full card details ourselves.
Information collected automatically. When you visit this website we may collect technical information including your IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, the pages you view, and the date and time of your visit. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
3.How we use it
We use personal information to:
- Provide the services and appointments you book with us
- Manage bookings, reminders, deposits and payments
- Deliver services safely, based on the health information you disclose
- Respond to your enquiries
- Send you marketing communications where you have opted in
- Improve our website and understand how visitors use it
- Advertise our services, including through the advertising described in section 5
- Meet our legal and record-keeping obligations
4.Cookies and analytics
This website uses cookies, which are small files stored on your device. Some are necessary for the site to function. Others help us understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it.
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous statistics about site usage. Google’s handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy at policies.google.com/privacy. You may opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
You can set your browser to refuse cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent. Some parts of the site may not function properly if you do.
5.Advertising and remarketing
We advertise our services through Google Ads and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), including remarketing.
This means that third-party vendors, including Google and Meta, show our advertisements on sites and apps across the internet, and that we and these third-party vendors use first-party cookies (such as the Google Analytics cookie) and third-party cookies and similar technologies (such as the Google advertising cookie and the Meta Pixel) together to inform, optimise and serve advertisements based on your past visits to this website.
We do not use remarketing to target you based on sensitive information, including health information.
You can control the advertising you see, or opt out of personalised advertising by Google, at adssettings.google.com, and by Meta in your Facebook or Instagram ad preferences at facebook.com/adpreferences. You may opt out of personalised advertising by other participating vendors at optout.aboutads.info and youronlinechoices.com.au.
6.Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:
- With our booking and payment provider, Timely, so that we can manage your appointments and process payments
- With advertising and analytics providers, including Google and Meta (Facebook and Instagram), as described in sections 4 and 5, in the form of website usage and cookie data rather than your name or contact details
- With our email marketing provider, where you have subscribed to our mailing list
- Where required or authorised by law, including to protect the safety of any person
Some of these providers store data on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. Where that occurs, we take reasonable steps to ensure the provider handles your information in a manner consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7.How we keep it secure
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. Client records and consultation forms are held within our secure booking system, access is limited to those who need it to deliver your services, and payment details are encrypted and held by our payment provider rather than by us.
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8.How long we keep it
We retain client records, including consultation forms and health information, for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal, insurance and record-keeping obligations. Where information is no longer needed for any purpose for which it may lawfully be used, we take reasonable steps to destroy or de-identify it.
9.Marketing communications
We will only send you marketing communications where you have consented, or where you would reasonably expect to receive them as an existing client. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you may opt out at any time by using that link or by contacting us.
10.Photography and social media
We will only photograph you or publish images of you or your results with your explicit consent. You may withdraw that consent at any time by contacting us.
11.Your rights
You may:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete
- Withdraw consent to marketing communications or to the use of your images
- Complain if you believe we have mishandled your personal information
To do any of these, contact us at info@rejuviabeauty.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period, ordinarily within 30 days. There is no fee for making a request, though a reasonable charge may apply for providing access in some circumstances.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
12.Children
Our services are directed at adults. Clients under 18 require the consent of a parent or guardian, and we collect information about minors only through that parent or guardian.
13.Third-party links
This website may link to other sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of those sites, and we encourage you to read their privacy policies.
14.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be published on this page, with the date it was last updated shown at the top. Material changes will be brought to your attention where practicable.
